"Ask me out for a date!" She joked.
"Okay." He says.
They had a great dinner, conversation flowed, they talked like there was no tomorrow. They shared the food, their drinks, they shared common things they never knew existed.
There was a sense of familiarity, a sense of belonging.
There was this little voice in her heart that says "he's worth it."
And then there's this little voice in her head that comforts "even if he didn't worked out, we could still be friends."

He kissed her forehead and bid her goodbye. She longed for that conversation that night and her heart raced as they spoke.
"This is it." She thought.
"Let's risk it." She's convinced.
Regardless of the objections from people around her.
"Why bother about what others might think?" She told herself.
"If there's one person that I'd care, that would be him."
But little that she knew, it wasn't at all easy. There were voices of support, but there were also voices that questioned her decision.
"Let people think what they wanna think." He comforts her in his arms.
"Sure." She says. But inside, her heart was sucked into a vacuum she can't even explain what that pain was. In silence she cries. She couldn't help but care. These are the so-called voices of reasons that has been a part of her all these years. How is she to justify the years they had compared to a relationship that she has just jumped into?
"I'm stronger than that. " she said to herself. "I'll prove them wrong and let people know he's different."

They held hands as they walked. They talked about tomorrow. She dreamt about tomorrow, she dreamed about sipping coffee in the cold night by his side. She dreamed about preparing food together as weekend meals. She dreamt about travelling the world with a buddy that has the same experience they could share. She dreamt about life.
"Ask me out for a date!" She asked.
"Okay." He says.
She waited. And she waited. "He's at work, give him a little time."she thought to herself.
The silence in the room gives her the chill down her bones. The still air that lingers makes her feel like she was suffocating. The sound of the quietness in the house...

All she had was the sore feeling in her heart. She looked at him and begged "ask me out for a date..."
"Okay. Let's go out for a date." He says. Her eyes popped. She was thrilled.
"After this email. I need to make a call in a bit" he continued.
She sank. "Let's just stay cosy at home" she says in silent. And she slept.

Or at least she thinks she did.
